Bentonite Trugel 100

Bentonite is a highly plastic clay used primarily to aid suspension in glazes, and enhance plasticity in clay bodies. Due to its fine particle size and high surface area, even a small addition of bentonite (typically 1–3%) can significantly improve the cohesiveness of clay or glaze mixtures. Its high shrinkage rate, however, requires careful consideration to avoid cracking during drying or firing.
