Lithium Carbonate 350#

Lithium carbonate is a powerful flux used in ceramics to lower the melting temperature of glazes while enhancing glaze durability and surface quality. It promotes smooth melting, reduces thermal expansion, and helps prevent crazing, making it especially useful in high-fire and functional ware. Lithium carbonate also enhances colour development, particularly in celadon and copper-based glazes, creating bright, vibrant hues. Due to its strong fluxing properties, it is often used in small amounts to achieve fluid, glossy, or satin-matte glaze surfaces.
