Chrysanthos High Fire Exotics Crackle Clear Glaze 500ml

Chrysanthos High Fire Exotics Crackle is a transparent clear glaze for mid-fire temperatures. Available as clear for application over earthenware bisque / bisque that has been decorated with underglazes, and in a range of colours that may be applied directly to unpainted earthenware bisque.

• Firing range between Cone 4 (1,186°C) – Cone 6 (1,222°C).
  
  
• 2 – 3 coats should be applied using a well-loaded glaze mop brush. Ensure each coat is dry before applying subsequent coats at right angles to each other.
  
  
• Due to the crackle (crazing) effect, this glaze is not considered food safe.
  
  
• After firing, effects can be emphasised by rubbing ink or other dark contrasting liquid onto the glazed surface, then rubbing it off (leaving the ink in the cracks).
