Spodumene

Spodumene is a powerful flux used to lower the melting temperature of glazes and clay bodies. Its high lithium content enhances glaze fluidity, promotes glossy surfaces, and helps create unique colour responses, particularly in celadon and copper-based glazes. As a less soluble alternative to lithium carbonate, spodumene provides similar fluxing properties while offering greater stability in glaze formulations.
