Feldspar Potash 200F
Potash feldspar is a common flux in ceramics, used in clay bodies and glazes to promote vitrification and lower the melting temperature. Similar to soda feldspar, but containing significantly more potassium. In glazes, it enhances glossiness, improves melt fluidity, and contributes silica and alumina for durability. In clay bodies, potash feldspar increases strength, reduces porosity, and helps achieve a dense, vitrified surface, making it especially important in porcelain and stoneware. Its potassium content also influences glaze colour response, particularly when interacting with metal oxides, making it a versatile and essential material in ceramic formulations.
