A medium-coarse textured, reddish clay. It is similar to Rod's Bod in throwing qualities, but fires to a darker brown colour and has the same iron speckling. Death Valley Red is a good clay for small to medium pottery. Reduction ( First Image), Oxidation ( Second Image).
